CONTENT  ANALYSIS :
‘The Nightingale and the Rose’ is a story written by Oscar Wilde .The story tells about the relationship between man and nature. The Nightingale sacrifices her life for true and ideal love.

BEGINNING SESSION
Teacher engages in a friendly talk to create good warm-up stage with the learners.

BEFORE THE LESSON
Teacher asks pupils to identify some pictures :


BRIDGE
 The pictures you have seen now are the characters of the story, ‘The Nightingale and the Rose’. We are going to learn the first few paragraphs of the story.

AUTHOR INTRODUCTION
The teacher introduces author by showing a picture of Oscar Wilde.



DEVELOPEMENT
Teacher reads the story and explains it to the students. 


TRACK AND MARK
The teacher asks the students to go through the passage silently and mark  their reading using appropriate punctuation marks.

AMPLIFIER SECTION
The teacher asks about the doubts that the students have not been able to find solutions to and megaphones these doubts to the entire class. The teacher then explains the word  with the help of pictures :

Teacher asks different questions to produce, establish and build up thoughts :


1)    What is the colour of the rose that the Student searches for?
2)    What does the Nightingale admire about the student?
3)    Where does the Student plan to present the red rose to the girl?

Design a poster for promoting social awareness on the need of conserving water.
